I did make it back to the coach, with ten
minutes to spare, having placed the current films for development at the
Kodak shop - only to find that Vladimir the Driver had overslept, and we
left twenty minutes late after all ... the best-laid plans..
Opposite this 1930s petrol filling
station, closed and a prime building-site in the centre of the city, there
was an appalling three-year old imitation mediaeval basilica, which I
simply could not bear to visit - I stayed on the coach and waited for an
opportunity to snap the filling-station
