Election manifesto makes policy as plain as plain: Where they offer
new services like childcare, after-school education for pupils,
and IT learning our libraries are successful. We will develop a
strategy for the modernisation of our libraries which builds on
the best, strengthens library leadership, sharpens customer focus
and harnesses local popular support. We will encourage further cooperation
in back-office functions and identify the best ways to improve our
library infrastructure.
